Good Housekeeping Parenting Award Winner: Alphapals

Good Housekeeping Magazine evaluates multiple product categories every year to determine which products are best at keeping families happy and healthy. One of those categories focuses on top parenting items designed for babies, toddlers, kids of all ages and their caregivers. Good Housekeeping experts initiate the vetting process by thoroughly reviewing hundreds of submissions over several months where products must include criteria such as innovation, problem-solving, and value from products that are new to the market or products that have stood the test of time. From there, top contenders are sent to a panel of Good Housekeeping experts including, scientists, editors, product analysts and real parents for home testing and real life feedback. After several rounds of detailed review, This year we are thrilled to announce we were chosen as one of the “Good Housekeeping 2021 Parenting Awards” for the “Best Fun & Functional Gear/Entertainment Playroom Picks” category. Good Housekeeping Award Writeup

Being a newly launched brand, designed locally in Malibu, California and being aligned with other notable brands in the same category is beyond our expectations. Our vision started out as a simple thought and now that is it recognized and awarded by such a coveted, trustworthy platform it makes us know we are on the right track to help kids learn the alphabet. As Good Housekeeping mentioned in their article: “Parenting is one of the greatest joys you can experience, but figuring out which products are best at keeping your family happy and healthy is no easy task”, we couldn't agree more.

We started this brand with a mission to help children and families all over the world with a new learning toy. We kept both parents and kids in mind with every detail we designed to come up with interactive teaching tools that are not only fun and cozy, but encourage learning the ABCs, learning colors and word pairing. Good Housekeeping describes us as a “Clever 2-1 design from Alphapals includes all the letters of the alphabet as plush toys that can be stored inside its bag, converting into a comfy lounge seat for kids. The letters are available in an assortment of bright and neutral color combinations to match any preference” Their “Lab lowtown” quoted “Despite the fact that this contains 26 toys, homes never got messy in our review because cleanup was quick and storage was built-in. Parents also noted that the characters provided ample opportunity for learning letters, colors, sorting and more”. Good Housekeeping truly understands our combo concept and functionality of Alphapals.

As a mother myself, I learned from trial and error that there wasn't just one product in the marketplace that had all the aspects I was looking for when teaching my child at a young age. I started spending endless hours hand-crafting a combination of various ABC letters for a sensory toy with all different sizes, textures, weights and colors to encourage ABC games, word pairing and color recognition. Knowing there had to be an easier way I tapped into my production, design and engineering background and started developing a solution which has now turned into Alphapals. It was important for the brand to not only be multi-use but a functional hands-on-learning experience with minimal clean up time, convenient built-in storage and aesthetically pleasing for any household.

Good Housekeeping quotes “Scientists, editors and real parents evaluated hundreds of products to pick these top-tested game changers” and we are grateful to be chosen. We look forward to getting our award winning Alphapals sets to households around the world.
